Call for AGS Volunteer Award Nominations

 Nominate your favorite Volunteer to Senior Adults. The Arkansas Gerontological Society (AGS) Volunteer Awards will be awarded Thursday, Oct. 28th at the luncheon of the AR Aging Conference in Hot Springs.The number of Volunteer hours and the Significance of Service to Senior Adults are determining factors in most categories.   Deadline is Sept. 15, 2010.  Go to our AGS Volunteer Nomination Page at the top of our home page to access the Nomination Form.

Requests for Aging Conference Scholarships

Are you a retiree with a background in the field of aging?  A student actively enrolled in an accredited higher academic institution?  And want to attend the 30th Annual Arkansas Aging Conference?  Submit an application for AGS sponsorship of the registration for the conference. 

Must be 18 yrs. old or older and demonstrate financial need.

Submission of application to the Selection and Scholarship committee of the AGS by Sept. 1st, 2010 – Fax to Carol at 501-552-4400 or  mail to the AR Gerontological Society, P.O. Box 2371, Little Rock, AR 72203-2371. Scholarship is for the AR Aging Conference registration only. 2010 Arkansas Gerontological Society Symposium

Thursday, December 9, 2010   8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.Sherwood Forest at 1111 West Maryland Avenue, Sherwood, AR.
